An abroad-based young man popularly known as King Onwa has been publicly humiliated in his community in Imo State after insulting their king.

The residents of Awo-omamma community in Imo state, have disgraced and publicly humiliated an Austria based Nigerian man identified as King Onwa popularly known as Eze Awo, for insulting their king and his royal family on social media.
It was gathered that the young man who lives in Vienna, Austria, had sometime ago, done some live videos on Facebook where he insulted their king and the royal family.

In the videos which are making the rounds on social media, the man can be heard in Igbo dialect making mockery of their community leader as he said he has been receiving threatening messages for insulting the monarch and exposing him.
The man said people have been telling him not to come back to the community or else he wants to be seriously dealt with. Some even told him that they would cut his dreadlocks if he ventures come back to the village.
Eze Awo who obviously did not take their threats seriously, decided to visit his village where he met angry youths of the community.
He was beaten and his dreadlocks were cut-off as he was given a stern warning to desist from insulting their king online or face more drastic actions.
