Be Assured of Two Hours Facebook time daily with the Governor when we return in 2019 - Ohakim

Chief Dr Ikedi Ohakim, the former Governor of Imo State and a frontrunner for the race to Douglas House in 2019 this morning took to his Facebook handle to assure Imolites that he would maintain his online relationship with them even after he is elected into office. Read what he said:
"Some well meaning friends have been urging me through my private messenger to stop engaging in conversations with my people and leave such to them to speak on my behalf. I know you all mean well and only want to shield me from the ugly side of social media and I appreciate you but I may have to disappoint you there as I like listening to my people. I like knowing their grievance so we can know how to start addressing them. I like sampling ideas and opinions as well as sharing thoughts with my people. An Igbo adage says "nke oma na nti, nke ojoo na nti" and as such I want to listen to the commendations, the praises as well as the criticisms. Most times, a leader's best tool to success is criticism, as long as it is factual and constructive. As Governor I released an email to the public and I made out two hours a day from the tight schedule of managing the affairs of our state to read and reply messages.  I don't see it changing in 2019 when we go back to Douglas House to save our state together as I will still have 2 hours Facebook time daily to sample your opinions and share thoughts with you on ways to move Imo State forward. You are Imo State and your thoughts are what matters. Hope you joined me on MyRadio this morning? Do have a blessed day and Good morning"

  1. Very much possible.
I know #Ohakim could do that. A man with swag. I regret hastily judging you in 2011.
I will vote wisely this time, after comparing what we were told and what we have seen.
    Godspeed #Ohakim (Your excellency)
