The Department of State Services (DSS) has released the lawmaker representing Abia-South Senatorial District, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, from detention.

Abaribe who was arrested by the DSS on Friday morning at his barber’s shop in Transcorp Hilton, Abuja was released around 6pm Tuesday 26th of June 2018.

He had earlier in the day been taken before Justice Binta Nyako, in an unrelated matter concerning the Missing IPOB Leader, who is on bail courtesy of a surety given by the Senator, The judge chastised the representative of the DSS stating that she did not order for the arrest of Senator Abaribe.

She however refused to entertain an application brought by the senators counsel, on grounds that he had no substantive matter before her.
